Overview

By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to:

  • Identify the advantages of utilizing MRI to help diagnose various joint injuries and other conditions in musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Recognize the importance of high spatial resolution and signal-to-noise ratio to enhance image quality in the diagnosis and evaluation of orthopedic injuries.
  • Review commonly used pulse sequences for specific anatomical regions to enhance image quality in the diagnosis and evaluation of orthopedic injuries.
  • Recognize the benefits of incorporating fat suppression techniques to improve the diagnosis of orthopedic injuries.
  • Justify the benefits of intravenous contrast agents that may contribute to the evaluation of potentially malignant disease processes in the musculoskeletal region.
