Overview

By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to:

  • Describe the basic physiology of chest tubes and pleural vacuum.
  • List the basic equipment associated with chest drainage systems.
  • Describe the aspects of "normal operation/expectations" for chest drainage systems.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot common problems, such as disconnection, blockage, and leakage
