Overview

By the end of this program, the participant should be able to:

  • Recall terminology related to sonography principles and instrumentation.
  • Analyze mathematics describing the principles of wavelength, acoustic impedance, transmission,     attenuation, and intensity of the ultrasound beam.
  • Differentiate between axial, lateral, and contrast resolution.
  • Recognize the three contributing factors of attenuation.
