Benefits

Mid-size panel for clinical versatility

At 31 x31 cm square (12.2 in), the Innova IGS 530 flat-panel digital detector is designed for a wide range of cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures. It can cover both legs simultaneously and maintains the capability for steep angulations.

Superb image quality with high Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE)

The proprietary angiography flat-panel detector offers one of the industry’s highest ratings for Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE), a parameter internationally acknowledged as an index of detector performance in contrast- and dose-limited imaging performed in clinical studies. High DQE enables better-quality images at the same dose, or the same quality image at a lower dose.

Lower dose by design

GE designs systems from the ground up with the tried and trusted GE imaging chain, optimized to provide the image clarity you need while helping you keep dose as low as possible. Our dose-reduction features empower you to easily optimize and personalize dose settings from the tableside, while maintaining clinical details you need to make well-informed decisions. But improving dose management takes a strategy – what we call the GE Blueprint. It includes low-dose imaging technologies for minimally invasive procedures, but also considers the people, culture and processes around them.

ASSIST

Power up your clinical decision making

The interventional field is growing with ever-expanding capabilities and migration to less invasive, safer and more cost-efficient procedures. With the new generation of GE's advanced interventional imaging software solutions, ASSIST, you can expand your clinical versatility and successfully plan, guide and assess increasingly sophisticated procedures with greater precision and dose efficiency.

Needle ASSIST4

Performing needle procedures in the interventional suite frees up your CT system and provides exceptional access to the patient. However, under fluoroscopic guidance, it may be challenging and time-consuming to find the right entry point and advance the needle while avoiding critical structures.

Plan

Define optimal needle entry points and pathways directly on oblique CBCT cross sections.

Peripheral recanalization can be delicate especially for long occlusions. With Vessel ASSIST5, the 3D and centerline overlay helps to cross occlusions, position and deploy devices.

Plan

Automatically extract the bone and vessel anatomies. Edit vessel centerlines and bridge them through occlusions.

Vessel ASSIST5 for SFA Chronic Total Occlusion

Use DSA images on larger Field Of View and use Digital Zoom to focus on the anatomy of interest. An InnovaBreezeTM 6 acquisition helps you control full lower limb in a single acquisition.

Clinical Applications

Tools that enlighten and empower

GE Healthcare offers a full suite of advanced applications designed to help improve your lab efficiency and enhance clinical confidence as you plan, guide and assess complex procedures. They work across a full range of interventional procedures, yet are built to answer specific challenges. An example of brilliant innovation in interventional cardiology is StentViz technology, which automatically detects both the guidewire and the marker balls, helping you perform elastic registration while compensating for non-rigid stent deformation.

StentViz1

Enhance stent visualization
StentViz stent enhancement technology provides excellent visualization of stent borders and details, helping you assess stent deployment during coronary interventions. It automatically detects both the guidewire and the marker balls, helping you perform an elastic registration that allows compensation for non-rigid stent deformation. In addition, it removes radio-opaque objects for optimal stent visibility and robust performance.

Innova HeartVision

Live 3D guidance for cardiac procedures
Innova HeartVision overlays 3D prepared datasets from CT, MR or 3D rotational images on live fluoroscopic images in a single click to support localization and guidance of devices during cardiac procedures. It delivers image stabilization features with ECG-gated display or motion tracking to compensate for respiratory artifact, helping to provide a steady 3D reference during complex procedures.

OneTouch QA1

Perform quantitative analysis with fingertip control
With the touch of a button, an auto-calibrated live monitor image pops up on the Innova Central touchscreen and shows the region of interest magnified. It allows you to drop your points of interest on the touchscreen for stenosis analysis and distance measurement. Moreover, you can analyze the vessel diameters at tableside using the joystick.

Innova CT

Acquire CT-like images in the vascular lab
Used for clinical applications that require detailed images with low-contrast resolution, Innova* CT enhances soft-tissue visualization to help you clearly identify suspected lesions. Easy access to CT-like images right in the vascular lab means you may not need to transfer patients to a CT exam room.

InnovaBreeze

Simplify and automate bolus chasing
InnovaBreeze* is a subtracted peripheral vascular imaging technique that lets you follow the contrast bolus in real time using variable panning speed control. Depending on detector size, you can capture the bolus in both legs while imaging thin vessels with high quality. Divided pixel shift helps you adjust each leg separately and compensate for patient movements.

Innova 3D

Perform 3D imaging in the interventional lab
Innova 3D is an acquisition mode that provides 3D imaging from rotational angiography, allowing you to clearly visualize complex vasculature in the interventional lab. It provides high-contrast 3D images that show fine spatial resolution through a full range of tissue densities. It is automatically reconstructed using your preferred parameters on the Advantage Workstation, giving you access to a full range of analysis tools.

Procedures

False aneurysm coiling (below the knee)

The major challenge of this case is to navigate to the point of interest in ultra-thin vessels without hurting surrounding tissues, while being able to coil all and only the vessels that link to the false aneurysm.

Plan

You can plan your procedure with InnovaSpin* to select the optimal angle with one injection. Then, with the One-Touch QA stenosis analysis, you can easily measure lesions with auto-calibration, which you can activate at tableside with a single button press.

Guide

You can easily switch from the record mode to low-dose fluoroscopy at tableside to view the advancement and deployment of guidewires and devices. You will benefit from highly precise imaging while saving dose.

Assess

With the subtracted guidewire view of StentViz1, you can visualize the stent struts and borders within the stent with excellent clarity and verify the correct deployment of the stent.

Iliac angioplasty

When you are about to perform an angioplasty procedure, it is always important to understand vessel patency to ensure that you can guide and position your devices optimally. The planning phase will also help in selecting stent needed to restore correct blood flow. The rest of the procedure is all about the stent placement and controlling appropriate deployment with the tools you use every day.

Assess

Plan your procedure with VesselIQ* Xpress
to check that the vessel diameter is large enough to allow an endovascular approach. Determine the stent length and diameter on the straightened and cross-sectional views
of the vessel.

Guide your catheter and stent through the vessel with Blended Roadmap based on a previously acquired image to help save contrast and dose.

Assess stent deployment and positioning with Integrated registration, comparing the pre-operative 3D acquisition with the post-operative 3D image.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization

Embolization of uterine fibroids is a minimally invasive treatment well adopted among interventional radiology societies. Identification of the feeding vessels and navigation to the embolization point can be a challenge when dealing with complex cases and especially when the radiation dose to the patient is a concern.

Assess

In complex cases, you can use low-dose Innova 3D imaging and MRI with Integrated Registration to identify the uterine fibroid
size and shape and the vessels to be
embolized. You can select the optimal
angulation and automatically see the
gantry position for the procedure.

Innova Vision lets you guide the catheter in the anatomy with ultimate precision using
live 3D guidance, with 3D models
superimposed on live fluoroscopic
images. It helps you reach the embolization point faster and thus save dose and
contrast.

After the embolization, you can use pre- and post-embolization Digital Subtracted Angiography images to see the impact on blood flow. This lets you determine if the uterine fibroid has been completely isolated from blood flow.
